But one day I decided to take the plunge
Towards the island I began my swim
'Please turn back and return', said he
'Or atleast stop and listen to me'
'Dont ask me to turn back', I had to scream
The din of the waves was deafening
'Towards my island I will continue swimming
I cant believe it was just a dream'
'The island is full of thorns', he said...
'The sea is here to protect you
'Never will you reach the island
'And if you reach, it will only hurt you!'
But his words never reached me
I didnt realise how far I'd gone
In the middle of the ocean I turned back
And all around I could only see the sea!
'Save me someone, I have lost my way
'My island eludes me and I've lost my home
'I am trying hard to stay afloat
'But it's been so long, I'm about to drown!'

Why do I feel that you so lonely.. you certainly might have lots of friend but, what you desire is missing..
Are you on a run to find that missing thing in life.. cause there is so much of emotion in this poem that u wrote..
I am not a reader at all but mind ya, I read this 3 times just to understand it.

Having been through your poem again.. Following are some of my conclusions. I hope you find them helpful, if not just shout out loud “ moron”
Island - is your destination, your dream, your goal..
Sea - is just a hurdle
Thorns - are assumptions of a failure or fear of so many things.
He - your bonding, your attachments.
The sea of happiness, joy and satisfaction that you would experience after reaching your destination is just.…. (Can’t really express that feeling in words).
So don’t let all these things elude you from doing what you want to do. At the end of the day remember, there is always a land on the other side of the sea and it might not be as good as the current one but it is yours to have.
So don’t give up.. Success awaits you J
